Job Description:
The Learning Designer is responsible for crafting engaging and innovative learning content that enhances knowledge and skills across store teams. With a focus on creative content development, they will work closely with subject matter experts to design impactful, learner-centric materials, including eLearning modules, videos, and in-person workshop resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifies knowledge and skills gaps through learning needs analysis processes, with support from the Director of Learning and Customer Experience.
- Designs creative, learner-focused materials to build the skills and capabilities of store teams, using blended learning methods and multimedia tools.
- Assists in the development of learning outcomes that are specific and concise.
- Creation of engaging, innovative and accurate blended learning solutions, courses and materials that encourage knowledge retention and transfer, including eLearning development, video content creation, workshop materials, written resources and appropriate assessments.
- Review and update learning materials to ensure staff members have the most up to date, engaging learning experiences available to them.
- Assists in the administration of LMS, including user management and course upkeeping.
- Evaluation of course effectiveness and reporting on learning outcomes.
- Interdepartmental and cross functional coordination wherever necessary to
ensure accurate training content, monitoring and regular reporting of
effectiveness of training materials.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or professional certificate in related or equivalent
field, desired but not essential if they have a professional portfolio.

Demonstrated experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer or Trainer. Exposure to hospitality or retail businesses is desired.
- Experience with Learning Authoring Software and content creation
programs, e.g. LMS-based authoring softwares, Adobe Creative Cloud
suite, Canva, or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for this role.
- High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high-level of
accuracy. Problem solver, works under pressure, hands-on team player,
self-motivated, and multi-tasker.
- The nature of the position requires outstanding English language written and verbal skills with the ability to accurately script and take ownership of all customer experience and training collateral.
