Job Description:
As the Operations & Growth Intern – Dubai, you will be the on-ground representative responsible for operating and growing Stranger Soccer in the emirate. This is a hands-on role combining game sales, operations, marketing, and community growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Game Hosting & Customer Experience
•Serve as an Official Host for Stranger Soccer games in Dubai
•Ensure games are safe, well-organized, and enjoyable
•Act as the on-ground representative of the Stranger Soccer brand
•Collect player feedback and share insights with the UAE team
2. Market Growth & Local Marketing
•Take ownership of growing Stranger Soccer downloads and player participation in Dubai
•Propose and execute creative ideas to drive app downloads and game sign-ups
•Identify and engage local football communities, universities, corporates, gyms, and social groups
•Test on-ground and digital marketing initiatives
•High-potential ideas may be supported by the brand with a dedicated marketing budget
3. Daily Operations Support
•Assist with game scheduling, venue coordination, and logistics
•Support customer onboarding and inquiries
•Help recruit, screen, and onboard Official Hosts in Dubai
•Support Host scheduling and ensure consistent coverage
4. Operations & Game Experience Improvement
•Identify operational inefficiencies and propose improvements
•Recommend enhancements to the game experience (formats, warm-ups, engagement, post-game flow)
•Analyse customer feedback and trends to suggest actionable changes
5. Community & Brand Building
•Support local activations, tournaments, and promotional events
•Assist with social content creation when needed (game clips, behind-the-scenes moments)
•Help build a strong Stranger Soccer community in Dubai
6. Cross-Functional Exposure
•Work closely with the UAE Operations team
•Coordinate with the Singapore HQ team when required
•Gain insight into how a fast-growing sports-tech brand scales across markets
Requirements:
- Positive, proactive, “can-do” attitude.
- Comfortable leading groups and interacting with customers
- Strong interest in football (required)
- Interest in startups, sports, or community-driven businesses
- Hospitality, events, sports management, or marketing experience is a plus
- Based in or able to regularly travel within Dubai
