Job Description:
Project implementation
- Develop and execute public relations/media strategies for our clients in the F&B sector and ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects each client’s strategic vision
- Manage the implementation of PR plans, including press conferences, media briefings, analyst meetings, and media tours
- Contribute to the design of and execute media relations campaigns
Media outreach
- Pitch consumer and trade media, deliver placements, and ensure flawless story follow-through
- Work with external parties such as media, journalists, influencers, clients, agencies, and brands for partnerships
- Identify and create original stories to build brand reputation and pitch to media
- Assist clients in writing news releases, media invites, Q&As, features, bios, and other communication material
- Support media events with planning, organization, and on-ground execution
- Prepare clients for interviews with media brief documents, interview prep, and media training
Editorial
- Draft PR materials, including press releases, backgrounders, pitch letters, and other documents
- Oversee the writing of junior-level staffers
Research
- Conduct research, including internet searches, third-party and media audits
- Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Evaluate and analyse information and data, developing succinct, accurate - summaries and insights
Account management
- Ensure timely delivery of projects
- Oversee daily monitoring, including editing daily reports
- Participate in client plan presentations
- Manage specific projects that are part of larger campaigns
- Supervise junior staff to ensure balanced workload and successful delivery
- Provide strong leadership, manage and motivate a team of juniors toward objectives
- Own client relationships on specific projects
- Maintain day-to-day contact with the client on assigned accounts
F&B sector expertise
- Build and maintain positive relationships with F&B experts, tastemakers, clients, prospects, and media
- Establish credibility and grow awareness through thought-leader engagement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications (preferred)
- 2–3 years of PR experience in an agency or in-house environment; F&B brand experience is a plus
- Strong connections in the media industry, with proven relationships with local and national outlets
- Solid understanding of PR, campaign planning, and media landscapes
- Excellent grasp of traditional and social media channels
- Strong presentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to manage peers’ and clients’ expectations effectively
